Death of Dr. Gerald Moss, Longtime ACN Member and Award-Winner
The American College of Nutrition announces the death of Gerald Moss, MD, PhD, FACN on September 22, 2016. He was eighty five years old. Dr. Moss was a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition since 1977 and a very supportive participant in the College’s rejuvenation in 2010. Over the years, he contributed in many capacities to ACN: he often served as a moderator or speaker at annual conferences and, importantly, as a council chair. His involvement in the annual conferences extended right up to last year when he gave a poster presentation at the 2015 ACN conference in Orlando, FL.
In 2004, Dr. Moss won the Best Poster Award at the ACN annual conference in Long Beach, California. He published numerous articles in peer-reviewed nutrition journals including theJournal of the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Moss was well known in his field of gastrointestinal and surgery.
The American College of Nutrition mourns his passing and certainly will miss his generous spirit. His ACN family wishes to express our collective appreciation for his loyal service, his cordial demeanor, and his friendly companionship.
